About

Hello there

I'm Kerim!

a researcher, developer, and educator passionate about advancing computer vision and machine learning.

Specialized in creating innovative AI solutions, from semantic segmentation in satellite imagery to explainable machine learning systems, blending technical rigor with practical impact.

Beyond research, I enjoy mentoring the next generation of AI talent, designing engaging courses, and publishing insights that bridge academia and industry. When I’m not developing models or teaching, you’ll find me exploring ways to make technology more intuitive, ethical, and accessible for everyone.

Testimonials

Kerim is a strong researcher in computer science, particularly in computer vision. I had the privilege of working with him for about three years in Semantic Segmentation and Video Stabilization. In the meantime, we had a handful of submissions with two accepted papers, one in BMVC (2022) and another in WACV (2024). Kerim is diligent, dedicated, and proactive in proposing experiments. He is also resilient in overcoming difficulties that appear along the way. For instance, he had to lead changes in both papers to address the reviewers' comments on submissions, and he did it with excellence, even when the final result was unfavorable. If I had the chance to work with him again on another project, I would do it since Kerim works very well cooperatively, one of the main skills I'm looking for when working with others.

Dr. Kerim is a very mature and independent researcher. I am sure he will be a leading figure in his research area, and it is always a great pleasure to work with him.
